April 12 was our first, “Pick up Trash” event. We had a great turn out of all ages and were able to accomplish quite a bit of work. Numerous bags of trash were collected and our streets look much better. We want to thank everyone that came out to assist in making our town and surrounding roadways look better. Several citizens participated along with the Maytown Baptist Youth Group. After the event, our youngest citizen to participate, Dalton Randall, age 9, stated, “I will never throw trash out of the car window, someone has to pick it up.” Parents and Grandparents, we should all be mindful and teach our children to throw trash away at home, not on the roadways.
